Although TRIVIA is not an academic journal, we publish a limited number of critical essays that offer analysis or evaluation of an issue, concept, idea, or current event. Critical essays are meant to inform readers and/or bring them up to date.

Authors should reflect on their essay's intellectual context in non-hierarchical and constructive ways. This might include, for example, citing key stakeholders or mapping position points in a controversy or referencing scholarly debates.

We are especially interested in transformative critical essays that bridge different communities, perspectives, and the walls of the university.
